Visiting Position on Printmaking


The Studio Arts program at Bard College invites applications for a ¾ time visiting position in printmaking starting in fall 2014. The term of the appointment is three years and is renewable. Applications for this position should be submitted through Interfolio no later than February 10, 2014.

Candidates for this position must have an MFA, a minimum of three years teaching experience at the college level, and an active and strong exhibition record. The candidate should have experience teaching printmaking to undergraduates at all levels---introductory, intermediate, and advanced. We encourage candidates whose studio practice and teaching embrace a broad spectrum of contemporary printmaking approaches including digital media in addition to more traditional methods. We encourage candidates who are deeply committed to a strong arts education within a rigorous liberal arts education. The successful candidate will also play an active role in advising students, contributing energy and ideas to the enhancement of the studio arts program, and to possible cross-disciplinary collaborations.
