Anya Luscombe

B.A., Durham University, United Kingdom; Ph.D., Utrecht University; additional postgraduate studies at Darlington College of Technology (UK) and Open University (UK). Anya Luscombe is a former BBC journalist who previously taught journalism, media, rhetoric, and academic writing at University College Roosevelt in the Netherlands. Her research interests also include radio, media history, Eleanor Roosevelt, and human rights education and media. She is the author of Forty Years of BBC Radio News: From the Swinging Sixties to the Turbulent Noughties; other publications include “A Trustworthy Transatlantic Public Diplomat? Recent European Scholarship on Eleanor Roosevelt,” in European Journal of American Studies, and “Eleanor Roosevelt as ‘Ordinary’ Citizen and ‘Expert’ on Radio in the Early 1950s,” in SAGE Open.
