Professor Mechanic-Meyers previously taught at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, where her course subjects ranged from cell biology and genetics to forensic science and molecular techniques. She also served as a senior research assistant at North Shore University Hospital–Cornell Medical Center and at Rockefeller University’s Henry Kunkel Laboratory of Immunology.
