BA, Eugene Lang College, New School University; PhD, SUNY Buffalo. Professor Harris has been a member of the faculty at BHSEC Newark since 2011; she previously taught at William Paterson University, Montclair State University, and Bard College’s Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program. Her areas of interest include literature of the Caribbean diaspora and critical whiteness theory within the context of the Anglophone Caribbean, and she has written on the subject in the Journal of Caribbean Literatures and as a contributor to Trajectories of Freedom: Caribbean Societies, 1807–2007.
