Applying for Financial Aid as an International Student

To be considered for financial aid at Bard College, non-U.S. citizens and their parents must complete the following forms:
  • International Student Application for Financial Aid and
  • Certification of Finances (foreign nationals file in order to obtain a visa)

Important Dates and Contact Information


January 1 Deadline for first-year International Student Financial Aid Form and Certification of Finances
February 15 Deadline for submission of forms for International prospective fall transfer students
April 1 Award letters will begin to be mailed for prospective students
April 15 Deadline for submission of forms for returning International students
May 1 Award letters will begin to be mailed for returning students
November 1 Deadline for submission of forms for International prospective spring transfer students

Prospective International Students should send all financial forms directly to the Office of Admission. Students can send forms via mail to:

Forms can also be sent via fax to 845-758-5208, or electronically to intdec@bard.edu.

Financial Aid is not automatically renewed each year. The student must reapply by submitting the International Student Financial Aid Form each year that financial aid is expected. Upon completion of the forms, prospective students should return all forms to the Admission Office. Returning students should return the International Student Aid Form to the Financial Aid Office.
