MAKING IT HAPPEN: Tirdad Zolghadr

"The Bathos of Belonging: Thoughts on the Sharjah Biennial 2005"
The Sharjah Biennial in the United Arab Emirates is one of the most important contemporary art events in the middle east. Tirdad Zolghadr, a freelance writer and curator based in Berlin, was one of the co-curators of the 7th edition of the biennial. He will speak about his experience there, discussing among other things the politics of belonging and dilemmas of multiculturalism. MAKING IT HAPPEN is a series of public lectures addressing new terrains being explored in contemporary curating. Lectures take place every Tuesday at the Center for Curatorial Studies.
