Artist's Talk: Nathan Coley
Thursday, January 29, 2009
Nathan Coley's practice investigates how social values are registered in and developed by the built environment. Working in public and gallery-based sculpture, photography, drawing, and video, Coley's work explores and reimagines public space, deconstructing and reassembling architectures. Coley's works in The Greenroom are fragments of a project responding to the trial concerning the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 which exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988--a trial to which Coley was admitted under the guise of 'journalist.
