Lecture: Pablo Helguera

New York-based visual artist Pablo Helguera’s work explores topics such as the sociology of art, the relationship between cultural communities and history, the role of art in politics, and the role of fact and fiction in communication. He has been active in museum education for over twenty years and is currently Director of Adult and Academic Programs at MoMA. In 2009 Helguera will direct the symposium Transpedagogy: Contemporary Art and the Vehicles of Education at MoMA and the Serpentine Gallery in London.
