Bruce Chilton is a Bernard Iddings Bell Professor of Philosophy and Religion at Bard College, an Episcopal Priest, and the executive director of the Institute of Advanced Theology. He is an expert on the New Testament and early Judaism, specializing in scholarly translations of the early biblical texts from the original Aramaic and Greek. He has been a professor at the University of Sheffield in England, University of Munster in Germany, and Yale University. He has contributed 50 books and more than 100 articles in this field of study. His recent books include intimate biographies of Rabbi Jesus, Rabbi Paul, Mary Magdalene, and Abraham’s Curse to be released in 2008. He brings deep insight and practice of the sacraments of Mary Magdalene from earliest sources.
|Andrew Harvey is a renowned mystical scholar and author, Rumi translator, and distinguished spiritual teacher. He is the founder of the School for Sacred Activism, which embodies his mission to actualize the interconnection between spiritual practice and social activism in the service of humanity and world peace. He has been a professor at Oxford and Cornell University, as well as at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Harvey has written and edited over 30 books including The Direct Path, Son of Man, The Way of Passion: A Celebration of Rumi, and Hidden Journey: A Spiritual Awakening. He brings diverse mystical experience of sacred rituals from Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity with particular affinity for the teachings and spiritual practices of Mother Mary.
