We've just scheduled fall and spring events, including, a lecture and book signing with Father Paul Murray '71 about his recent publication Life in Paradox: The Story of a Gay Catholic Priest,, on Tuesday, September 16, at 4:30 p.m. in Weis Cinema. The Rev. Dr. Bruce Chilton presents the Advent Lecture Series "Child Sacrifice in the Legacies of the West," that meets at noon on Fridays, September 19, through October 9, and the 2009 Lenten Lecture Series, "The Jerusalem Temple in Text and Archaeology," that meets at noon on Fridays, February 27, through March 27. Both of these series are held in teh multipurpose room of the Bertelsmann Campus Center. The enclosed Institute membership card entitles you to receive a variety of discounts, including library membership at Bard, events at Miriam's Well, and books at Mirabai in Woodstock. Present your card at Bard's Stevenson Library to receive a 20% discount of the annual community membership charge of $25. [Please show the enclosed member card at the Stevenson desk, when filling out the application to receive this discount.] Upon showing this card at Mirabai in Woodstock, you will receive a 10% discount on all your purchases (excluding workshop fees).
