First and second year Bard College students with an interest in visual and material culture are invited to learn more about this accelerated program which will give Bard students a BA and MA in fiveyears. Bard Graduate Center in New York City is dedicated to studying the cultural history of the material world. Our faculty offer a broad exploration of history through its material traces, drawing on methodologies and approaches from art and design history, economic and cultural history, philosophy, anthropology and archaeology. The two-year MA program includes internship opportunities and an international study trip. Graduates go on to a range of professional careers in the museum world and beyond, including continuing their research at highly competitive doctoral programs.
