Conducting
Faculty
Maestro Farberman anchors the faculty of visiting guest conductors and composers. New visiting faculty and new repertoire each week assure all Institute participants of exposure to a variety of expert opinions. Guest conducting faculty in the summer of 2006 included Leon Botstein, Guillermo Figueroa, Raymond Harvey, Apo Hsu, Eduardo Navega (director of the Discovery Program), and Sidney Rothstein. Faculty composers in the summer of 2006 were David Del Tredici and Harold Farberman. Alexander Technique was taught by Alexander Farkas.
Evening Lectures
Internationally known scholars, composers, and conductors present regularly scheduled evening lectures.
Public Concerts
Fellows and Colleagues conduct the Institute Orchestra in two public "Pass the Baton" concerts.
Videotaping
All conducting sessions are videotaped for self-assessment and evaluation.
Scholarships
A limited number of merit-based scholarships are available.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Scores
Participants are expected to bring their own scores for Institute repertoire. When appropriate, scores for works by guest composers are available for purchase at the Institute.
Housing
During the summer, on-campus housing is provided at the following rates:
$120 per week for a single room;
$100 per week for a double room.
Dining
Dining and kitchen facilities are available on campus.
Refunds
No refunds will be issued after the start of the Institute.
