Writing Based Teaching
Writing Based Teaching: Essential Practices and Enduring Questions (SUNY Press, November 2009) is a response to teachers’ requests over many years for guidance in how to make writing a central part of their pedagogy.
In 2006, IWT launched an annual journal, Writing from the Inside Out, to showcase and celebrate the writing of teachers who attend our workshops, at Bard or on site. The deadline for submission for the 2014 issue is November 15, 2013.
These handouts will give teachers, especially those new to IWT, a sense of the specific steps that a teacher and her students would travel as writing becomes a central part of their curriculum.
