The December weekend consists of two-day writing and thinking workshops for teachers of all subjects. Please see below for the workshops we are offering December 2-4, 2011.

December 2-4, 2011

5:30 p.m. Friday - 12:30 p.m. Sunday (see below for full schedule) 
The December weekend presents two days of concurrent workshops that provide a place for intellectual engagement where teachers of all subjects can write, read, and learn through collaboration and where teachers learn how to sequence writing practices that help students develop as readers and writers. Schools are encouraged to send interdisciplinary teams of teachers who can begin discussion of how best to transfer these writing skills from one subject to another.

The weekend version of Thinking Historically through Writing focuses on case studies in modern American history from Reconstruction to civil rights and desegregation of schools. Please forward this information to your colleagues in history and social studies.
