Tuition and Fees


Upon acceptance of admission, new students pay a nonrefundable deposit of $515. This deposit is due two weeks after notification of admission and financial aid decisions. The balance of the tuition and fees for the academic year is billed in two equal installments. Billing statements reflect tuition, fees, and credits for scholarships and approved student loans.

Tuition and Fees 2017-18

Tuition, fees, and expenses for the 2017-18 academic year are as follows:
  • Tuition: $32,942
  • Registration Fee: $100
  • Facilities Fee: $150
  • Bard Basic Health Insurance: the estimated cost of the Bard student plan for 2017-18 is $2,720*
  • Bard Health Services Fee: $470**
  • Graduate Fee: $120**
*This is mandatory for those students who do not already have health insurance. Those students who have an independent insurance plan may submit a waiver. All international graduate students are automatically enrolled in the Bard plan unless they obtain a waiver by presenting evidence of insurance coverage from one of three different commercial providers.
