3+2 Program

This option allows Bard students to obtain their undergraduate liberal arts degree (B.A.) and the Levy M.S. degree in five years. Generally students are accepted into the 3+2 program in their junior year. Declaring a commitment by moderation allows advising and course selection to support a smooth transition.

Undergraduate Students

Students enrolled in Bard College who are majoring in economics or a related field (such as political science, finance, or math) must first meet all of their distribution requirements, have a successful moderation into a program of study, get approval from their undergraduate advisor, and submit a formal petition to the Dean of Studies. At the beginning of their fourth year at Bard, students enter the two-year Levy M.S. program. Interested students should inquire as soon as possible to ensure they meet all requirements.

Transfer Students

To be eligible, transfer students must have attended one year of classes at Bard’s Annandale campus. A major in economics, economics and finance, or other relevant field is strongly recommended. Upon completion of the College’s undergraduate requirements, a student may apply to the Levy M.S. program during their senior year.
