Why did you want to become a teacher? What are your career goals?
I teach because I think it is the most positive way I can impact the world and the most effective way for me to make change. I teach because I love spending my days interacting with people, learning, growing and dreaming. My goal is for my classroom to be so effective, I can leave the room and my students will be able to run it themselves.
Why did you choose Bard?
Peaches in the summertime, Apples in the fall – My heart lives in the Hudson Valley! And… I also chose Bard because I believe in progressive education.
Was there a particular professor or course that you especially enjoyed? Why?
Michael Sadowski and Julia Emig are brilliant and inspiring. They allow you to stay grounded in the practical but think abstractly. I use material from both of their classes all the time.
What do you like best about Bard’s MAT?
Monday night potlucks!
