Mathematics - Part Time, Visiting Faculty
Seeking visiting faculty members to teach a graduate-level Abstract Algebra course in the summer quarter and a graduate-level Analysis course in the winter quarter for the Bard College Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY. The Bard MAT program is committed to rigorous graduate training in mathematics (and other disciplines), early and intense involvement in the high school classroom, partnerships for educational change with participant schools, and a re-conceptualized education curriculum.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Teaching for the summer quarter position begins June 10, 2013. Teaching for the winter quarter position begins January 6, 2014. All graduate courses meet once a week for three hours over a ten-week academic quarter.
