Celia Hetterich, a mentor teacher in the MAT Program at Bard since its inception, has taught 8th-grade English at Chatham Middle School in Chatham, New York, for four years.

A.B., University of Chicago; M.A., M.S., Ph.D., Yale University. Postdoctoral training in agroecosystem ecology at The Ohio State University. Areas of interest: coevolution, infectious disease, insect community ecology and evolution. Taught college biology, evolution and parasitology for 9 years. Fellowships and awards: University Postdoctoral Fellow (The Ohio State University), competitive grants awarded from USDA (1990-1998) and NSF(1998-2000). Ad hoc and panel member reviewer for USDA, NSF and various publications. Articles in Evolution, Heredity, J. Parasitology, J. Invertebrate Pathology, Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, and Environmental Entomology.
