Additional Certification Information
The following are additional tests and workshops that you need to complete in order to be certified to teach upon completion of the MAT Program in June. You must complete these workshops and tests and submit proof of completion to Cecilia. Failure to complete these workshops and tests will prevent you from getting New York State Teaching Certification.
Fingerprinting
In order to teach in the public schools all students must be fingerprinted. You must have this done by August 31st (before you go into the public schools in September). Fingerprinting packets are included in your registration folders. If you need another one please see Cecilia.
Go to www.highered.nysed.gov/tcert/ospra/ for information on fingerprinting (such as where to get it done). If you do not find the information you need at this address you can contact the Dutchess County BOCES (845-486-4800) or the Ulster County BOCES (845-255-8989) for more information.
