The Bard MBA in Sustainability seeks motivated candidates from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds. Applicants are expected to have demonstrated leadership potential, a commitment to business and environmental issues, and an aptitude for graduate study.

Steps to Apply to Bard MBA:
1. Complete the Application.
Create an account in our online application system, select the Bard MBA application, complete all required fields, and submit along with the $65 application fee. Please email Caitlin O'Donnell (email@example.com) with any questions.
2. Write a Personal Statement.
A personal statement addressing your professional and educational goals, and how you feel this degree program will help you achieve them (word, pdf document, or video). Whether written or recorded, personal statements may touch on the following four questions:

Do you understand the depth of the sustainability challenges that lie ahead?
Do you want to shape a different future?
Do you have a talent for business?
Are you called to put those talents to work building a prosperous, ecologically sound, and socially aware enterprise?
3. Submit a Writing Sample + Resume/CV
Writing Sample: A sample of written work such as a college research paper, published article, or professional work such as a brief, information for media, or grant proposal. Please include the title, date of composition, and your name.
Resume/CV: A resume or curriculum vitae highlighting your professional experience and relevant qualifications.
4. Submit Two Letters of Recommendation.
Two letters of recommendation from both an academic and professional source. The Bard MBA accepts letters of recommendation through the online application system. When prompted in the Recommendations section of the application -- enter each recommender's name and contact information. The recommender will then receive an email with detailed instructions on how to submit his or her recommendation online.
5. School Transcripts.
Official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended. Transcripts should be sent directly to the address below. Official e-transcripts are also accepted. Contact the Bard MBA Admissions office for details.

6. Submit GRE or GMAT Scores.
Bard MBA requires official GRE or GMAT scores for all applicants. Scores should be submitted to Bard (school code 2037) with attention to Bard MBA in Sustainability. GRE/GMAT waivers are granted for students with undergraduate GPAs of 3.7 or high OR those with previously earned Masters degrees. Contact Caitlin O’Donnell (

7. Complete and Submit FAFSA.
All applicants requesting any sort of financial aid (loans, fellowships, campus employment) must complete a FAFSA.

8. Schedule an Interview.
A personal interview with the Office of Admission and the Director of the Bard MBA program. Interviews can be scheduled upon submission of your application. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
