The Bard MBA in Sustainability seeks motivated candidates from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds. Applicants are expected to have demonstrated leadership potential, a commitment to business and environmental issues, and an aptitude for graduate study.

Steps to Apply to Bard MBA:

Create an account in our online application system, select the Bard MBA application, complete all required fields, and submit along with the $65 application fee. The application for fall 2018 enrollment will be available in early September 2017. A personal statement addressing your professional and educational goals, and how you feel this degree program will help you achieve them (word, pdf document, or video). Whether written or recorded, personal statements may touch on the following four questions:

A sample of written work such as a college research paper, published article, or professional work such as a brief, information for media, or grant proposal. Please include the title, date of composition, and your name.

4. Submit Two Letters of Recommendation.

Two letters of recommendation from both an academic and professional source. The Bard MBA accepts letters of recommendation through the online application system. When prompted in the Recommendations section of the application -- enter each recommender's name and contact information. The recommender will then receive an email with detailed instructions on how to submit his or her recommendation online.

Official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended (Transcripts should be sent directly to the address below. The MBA program is not responsible for transcripts sent to other departments at Bard College.)

6. Submit GRE or GMAT Scores.

Bard MBA requires official GRE or GMAT scores for all applicants. Scores should be submitted to Bard (school code 2037) with attention to Bard MBA in Sustainability. GRE/GMAT waivers are granted for students with undergraduate GPAs of 3.7 or high OR those with previously earned Masters degrees. All applicants requesting any sort of financial aid (loans, fellowships, campus employment) must complete a FAFSA.
