International Student Degree Option

Bard welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and encourages interested international students to consider our MBA + Graduate Certificate option. International students applying to the Bard MBA in Sustainability program must either be lawful permanent residents, temporary residents, asylees, refugees and possess certain nonimmigrants status or enroll in the MBA + Graduate Certificate Program. Unfortunately, the low-residency structure of the Bard MBA program alone, without the Certificate Program, does not support students to obtain an F-status student visa.

MBA + Graduate Certificate Enrollment Option

Bard College offers a graduate certificate-MBA combination program. Through this program, international students are eligible for an F-1 Student Visa. Students simultaneously enroll in the full-time Bard MBA program and the Bard Center for Environmental Policy (CEP) Professional Certificate Program. The MBA + Graduate Certificate provides students with a rigorous business school education combined with additional coursework such as Environmental and Natural Resource Economics; Environmental Law; Climate Science; Climate and Agroforestry, Food Systems Policy; Energy Policy; GIS and Statistics and Econometrics. It also allows international students to obtain significant US work experience, through participation in the CEP professional internship, which places students in policy internships in US NGOs and businesses.
