Bard College Conservatory of Music presents
David Gould has been a guest artist with the New York Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra, L’Orchestre National de France, The Orchestra of St. Lukes, The New York City Ballet, The New York City Opera, The American Symphony Orchestra, and the New Jersey Symphony. Since 2000 he has been bass clarinetist with the American Ballet Theater Orchestra in NYC. Gould is also principal clarinet of the New York Symphonic Ensemble.
He has played with such conductors as Bernard Haitink, Kurt Masur, Charles Dutoit, David Robertson, Leonard Slatkin, Daniele Gatti, Gerard Schwartz, Krzysztof Penderecki, Marin Alsop and Leon Botstein.
Mr. Gould is the founder of the Ensemble 54, New York’s premiere clarinet quartet. The group has been playing concerts and commissioning new works since 2008. Richard Belcastro, Hayes Greenfield, Paquito D’Rivera, David Bennett Thomas, and David Bixler a few of the composers that have written or arranged music for the ensemble.
