What does "Israeli apartheid" actually mean? Can Israel be both "Jewish" and "democratic"—and what does that mean for Palestinians? Ben White will explore the roots of the conflict and the day-to-day realities of segregation and discrimination.Ben White is a freelance journalist, writer, and activist. He has published two books, "Israeli Apartheid: A Beginner's Guide" and "Palestinians in Israel: Segregation, Discrimination and Democracy." He is a researcher with the Journal of Palestine Studies, and his articles have been published by Al Jazeera, The Guardian online, New Statesman, Electronic Intifada, and many others.
