Written Arts Program, Human Rights Program, Experimental Humanities Program, and Difference and Media Project Present
Contemporary Fiction Series with Booker Prize Winner Eleanor Catton
Thursday, November 7, 2013
Bard Chapel
This October, Eleanor Catton made history in two ways when she became, at 28, the youngest person to ever receive the Man Booker Prize for The Luminaries, which is also the longest book to receive the prize. The Luminaries is a sprawling masterpiece, marrying an experimental structure with an old-fashioned narrative, in a truly unique and idiosyncratic work of art. Catton will read from The Luminaries on this night. For more information, call 845-758-7600, or e-mail [email protected].
