Sean Jacobs is a founding member of blog Africa Is a Country, which is a widely-used news source and which also offers commentary on political and social affairs related to the continent of Africa and its global representation. Jacobs, who was born in South Africa, is currently working on a book manuscript that explores the inter-relationship between mass media, globalization and democracy in South Africa.
