Last semester, students walked out for Blackout Bard, and the Teach-in continues that energy with two days of events. These days are for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to come together to talk, teach, share, and even to celebrate. Are we “Bursting the Bard Bubble” or putting the community back together? Healing wounds and sharing stories? Re-assembling and re-imagining the educational episteme?
Topics include: pedagogical and artistic re-imaginings and subversions as they relate to: mapping and place, embodiment, race, gender/gender identity, pedagogy, class, aesthetics spirituality, the “Bard Bubble,” the “canon”/disciplinary structures, FYSEM, and much more.
