A presentation by Les Levine, co-sponsored by Experimental Humanities, Film and Electronic Arts, and Studio Arts in conjunction with the exhibition of Levine’s historic video work on view in Film and Electronic Arts gallery, room 219. The Mott Art Hearings were first performed in 1971 and have been performed numerous times since. Les Levine has had over 100 solo exhibitions of his work in many countries, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the Walker Art Center, the National Gallery of Victoria, Centre Pompidou, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and the Albright Knox Gallery. Widely considered one of the most important pioneers of video art and conceptual art, his expansive work continues to break new ground in a dramatically and rapidly changing media landscape.7:00 pm – 9:00 pm EST/GMT-5
