Spotlight on the Bard Debate Union
The Debate Union competes against other U.S. colleges, leads a network of debate programs at Bard’s international partners, hosts public debates to engage the community around Annandale, and mentors students in the area schools. In this new video, students talk about how the team is growing and pushing their intellectual boundaries.
Don’t miss Bard’s upcoming public debate against West Point: “Must dissent in democracy be civil and nonviolent?” The debate is the opening event for the fall Hannah Arendt Center Conference, “Citizenship and Civil Disobedience.” Join us Wednesday, October 10, in the Campus Center Multipurpose Room from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Visit the Bard Debate website for more upcoming events.
