Hello, The following event may be of interest to you: Jewish Film Series: Holy Ground Wednesday, April 9, 2008 Holy Ground (90 minutes) is a multi-media presentation about folk singer-songwriter Woody Guthrie’s connection to Jewish life and culture. Woody’s daughter, Nora, the director of the Woody Guthrie archives, discovered this connection and Woody’s Jewish lyrics only recently. She worked with the musical group the Klezmatics to bring the music to life and then create this lecture-presentation. Included is footage from historic home movies from the Guthrie’s family archives, as well as photos and music.
