New York Women in Communications Student Conference

Apply for CDO Sponsorship to this Year's Event!Are you interested in the field of communications? This year the Career Development Office is pleased to co-sponsor the entry fee for five students to attend the Conference along with a member of the CDO team! Students will still be responsible for their transportation to and from NYC.Each year, the New York Women in Communications Foundation hosts a day-long conference, featuring over 40 communications professionals speaking on 10 different topics. More than 300 college women attend to get career tips on various communication fields, ranging from entrepreneurship to marketing to broadcasting.Application Instructions for CDO Sponsorship:Due to high interest, the Career Development asks that students interested in attending submit a resume and short statement of intent describing why they would like to attend the conference and what they hope to gain from their experience. Materials should be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2012. Selected students will be notified no later than November 5, 2012.Additional Requirements: Once five students have been selected, there will be a mandatory group information meeting with CDO the week of November 12 (date & time tbd) to go over proper dress code other pertinent information.
