Hello, The following event may be of interest to you: Georgian Vocal Ensemble's Winter Concert Sunday, December 16, 2012 Come join us on Sunday, December 16th in Bard Hall for our winter concert and to celebrate our third semester running! We sing three-part folk songs from every region of the Republic of Georgia, a beautiful and diverse country on the shores of the Black Sea, in the former Soviet Union. Georgian music is known for its intricate and dissonant harmonies and gorgeous ornamented style. Directed by the world-renowned Carl Linich, the Bard College Georgian Vocal Ensemble is comprised of Bard students, alumni, and local community members.
