New York Women in Communications Conference - Application Deadline

Each year, the New York Women in Communications Foundation hosts a day-long conference, featuring over 40 communications professionals speaking on 10 different topics. More than 300 college women (and some ment) attend to get career tips on various communication fields, ranging from entrepreneurship to marketing to broadcasting.Save the date for the 2013 Student Communications Career Conference:Date: Saturday, November 9, 2013Time: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Location: NYU, New York CityThe Career Development Office is pleased to sponsor five students to attend the 2013 Conference. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the field of communications, or want to learn more about the industry and would like to attend the event, please follow the application instructions below. Please note that the Career Development Office will cover the admission cost for five students, however, students will be responsible for their own transportation to the event. For information on transportation to Manhattan, students can visit the Transportation Office in Campus Center or talk to us in CDO. Application Instructions for CDO Sponsorship:Due to high interest, the Career Development asks that students interested in attending submit a resume and a one-page letter of intent describing why they would like to attend the conference and what they hope to gain from their experience. Materials should be submitted via email to The deadline to apply is Monday, October 28, 2013. Selected students will be notified by Friday, November 1.Additional Requirements: Once five students have been selected, there will be a mandatory group information meeting with CDO the week of November 4 (date & time tbd) to go over proper dress code other pertinent information.
