Hello, The following event may be of interest to you: César Vallejo's Trilce Tuesday, February 18, 2014 William Rowe Essayist, poet and translator, William Rowe is Professor of Poetics at Birkbeck College, University of London, and author of several books on Latin American Poetry William Rowe is founder of the Contemporary Poetics Research Center, University of London, Birkbeck, where he is Anniversary Professor Emeritus of Iberian and Latin American Studies. Professor Rowe is the author of ten books on Latin American literature and culture, including Poets of Contemporary Latin America, Oxford University Press, 2000. His many translations of Latin American authors, with special interest in the poetics of socio-political change, include Raul Zurita’s, INRI, Marick Press 2009 and his recently completed Trilce by César Vallejo. Rowe is a founding editor of the Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies, Travesia; he has taught at the Universities of Lambayeque (Peru), Liverpool, Kings College London, where he was given a Chair in Latin American Cultural Studies; San Marcos (Peru), Universidad Católica (Peru), Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico) and Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.
