The Bellagio Fountain Has Been Known to Make Me Cry
Thursday, April 30, 2015

In a world created entirely of paper, in which women and water are metaphors for one another, this heartwarming new work, The Bellagio Fountain has been known to Make Me Cry, explores themes of conservation and regeneration, and at its heart, our eternal quest for happiness. Only five performances! The Bellagio Fountain Has Been Known to Make Me Cry Thursday, April 30th at 8pm Friday, May 1st at 8pm Saturday, May 2nd at 3pm and 8pm Sunday, May 3rd at 3pmThe Bellagio Experience:To bring people’s attention to the power and importance of water, we have chosen to perform “Bellagio” in venues that are located close to bodies of water that are rich in the history of water-usage in New York City. Spring 2015 we will be presenting one block from English Kills, and in September, we will present near The Gowanus Canal. Both were once creeks that became part of the busiest industrial area in the USA, before evolving into what they are today. To help us talk about the importance of water, we have invited a few other very interesting folks to join us, to speak about local and global water. Saturday, May 2nd 1:00-2:30pmAn Insalubrious Valley A walk along Newton Creek and its tributaries with Newton Creek Alliance Historian Mitch Waxman$15/person  Saturday, May 2nd 6:30-7:30pmNewton Creek: The Destruction and Hope of a Wall-in Waterway with Dr. Sarah E.
