Hello, The following event may be of interest to you: Visiting Faculty Recital: Melvin Chen, piano Monday, November 30, 2015 Pianist Melvin Chen, founding associate director of the Bard Conservatory, performs a recital featuring a new work by composer and music technologist Jason Freeman, who is on the faculty at Georgia Tech. This work involves interaction with a laptop computer using score following software, which generates new fragments of music influenced by what has already been played. The remainder of the first half places this piece in context, with Earle Brown's famous open score composition "December 1952" as well as a work by Stanford composer Jaroslaw Kapuscinski, which also includes video.
