Hello, The following event may be of interest to you: Recently, Under the Bodhi Tree: New Female Ordination in Tibetan Buddhism Thursday, September 28, 2017 This talk will present the speaker’s perceptions and experiences at the recent nuns ordination ceremony, held at the Bodhgaya Mahabodhi Temple in India in March 2017, under the direction of the current H. H. Gyalwa Karmapa. It will contextualize this exciting event in light of the larger female ordination movement in contemporary Buddhism.
