Hello, The following event may be of interest to you: Diasporic Futurities Monday, March 25, 2019 Ignacio G. Galán’s work considers architecture’s role in the articulation of society through projects developed in different formats and media. His lecture will present a number of past and ongoing endeavors—ranging from scholarship in the history of architecture to exhibitions and design proposals—with a focus on the architectures of housing and the spaces of residence characteristic of a time defined by mobility and transit. He will discuss how architecture mediates processes of dissolution, fragmentation, and disembedding of social relations, as well as the search for different forms of binding, stabilization, and belonging.
