Career Development Office, Dean of Student Affairs, Literature and Written Arts Program, and Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion  presentNew York Women in Communications Career Bootcamp! Application Deadline, Wednesday, October 30, 2019.New York Women in Communications Foundation  hosts an annual event for students, featuring communications professionals speaking on a range of different topics. More than 250 students attend to get career tips on various aspects in the communication fields, ranging from entrepreneurship to marketing to scholarships and financial wellness.Conference Date: Friday November 15, 2019, 3:30 pm - 8:00 p.m.Location: Twitter NYC HQ, 249 West 17th StreetConference Info: https://nywici.org/connect/upcoming-events/student-career-boot-campApply for CDO Sponsorship to Attend the Event:The Career Development Office is pleased to sponsor a limited number of students to attend the 2019 Career Bootcamp. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the field of communications, or want to learn more about the industry and would like to attend the event, please follow the application instructions below.**ALL students are welcome and encouraged to apply/attend**Please note that the Career Development Office will cover the admission cost for a limited number of students, which is $125 per person, however, students will be responsible for transportation costs to/from the event. A shuttle will be provided to Poughkeepsie train station. Application Instructions for CDO Sponsorship:Due to high interest, the Career Development Office asks that students submit a resume and a one-page letter of interest describing why they would like to attend the Career Bootcamp and what they hope to gain from the experience. Please note, CDO will review all applications for quality of materials and students’ purpose for wanting to attend the conference. Materials should be submitted via email to [email protected]. Deadline TO APPLY for CDO sponsorship is Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Selected students will be notified by Monday, November 4th.
