POET, ILLUSTRATOR, AND NOVELIST RIKKI DUCORNET TO READ AT BARD COLLEGE.
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-Poet, short story writer, novelist, illustrator, and Bard
alumna Rikki Ducornet '64 will read from her work at Bard on Monday, March 8, at 2:30
p.m. in Room 102 of the F. W. Olin Humanities Building. The reading is part of
Professor Bradford Morrow's ongoing series that presents contemporary authors and their
writing and is free and open to the public.
Rikki Ducornet is the author of the novel The Fountains of Neptune, which is the third in her projected "tetralogy of elements" that so far includes The Stain and Entering Fire. She also wrote the novels Phosphor in Dreamland and The Jade Cabinet, the story collections The Word "Desire" and The Complete Butcher's Tales, and a book of poems entitled The Cult of Seizure. In addition she illustrated Karen Elizabeth Gordon's book Torn Wings and Faux Pas: A Flashbook of Style, a Beastly Guide through the Writer's Labyrinth and edited a collection of stories with Geoff Hancock, Shoes and Shit: Stories for Pedestrians.
