Studio Arts Program Offers Senior Project Exhibitions at Bard Exhibition Center, Red Hook

BARD COLLEGE STUDIO ARTS PROGRAM PRESENTS SENIOR PROJECT EXHIBITIONS AT THE BARD EXHIBITION CENTER IN RED HOOK First Series is On View from April 14–28, Second Series from May 5–19 ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—The Studio Arts Program at Bard College presents two series of Senior Project exhibitions at the Bard Exhibition Center, 7401 South Broadway, Red Hook. The exhibitions are open daily from noon to 5:00 p.m. and may be viewed by the public without charge. From Saturday, April 14, through Saturday, April 28, the first series of exhibitions is on view, featuring the work of eight seniors—Jesse Sachs, Zachary Kitnick, Abigail Lloyd, Jenesy Brubaker, Lola Sinreich, Elissa Goldstone, Eva Lewitt, and Natasha Brooks-Sperduti. The opening reception is from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. From Saturday, May 5, through Saturday, May 19, the second series of exhibitions features the work of seven seniors—Jonathan Osofsky, Melinda Braathan, Amy MacKay, Daniela Gilbert, Matthew Schimsky, Celeste Dupuys-Spencer, and Annie Sawyer. The opening reception is from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5. In an era when much contemporary art cannot be contained within the traditional categories of painting and sculpture, and when technology is transforming the production of visual images, the Studio Arts Program, cochaired by Arthur Gibbons and Judy Pfaff, has expanded the breadth of its offerings while retaining a strong core of courses that provide a firm grounding in basic techniques and principles.
