THE COLORADO QUARTET, DA CAPO CHAMBER PLAYERS, AND JOAN TOWER WILL PERFORM WORKS BY STUDENT COMPOSERS ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4, AT BARD COLLEGE

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-The Music Program at Bard presents the premieres of new compositions by talented Bard student composers Sergei Tcherepnin, Ehren Hanson, Dylaina Young, Jake Gonchar, Drew Schulze, Elizabeth Luttinger, Chandler Litterst, Tucker Fuller, and Troy Herion, on Tuesday, December 4. The program begins at 7:30 p.m. in Bard Hall and is free and open to the public. Performers include artists in residence, the Colorado Quartet; Da Capo Chamber Players; and conductor/pianist Joan Tower, Asher B. Edelman Professor of Music at the College.

Student performers Tucker Fuller, Anna Callner, Tamara Devine, Karen Benezra, Daniel Fox, and Tamara Plummer will join the Colorardo Quartet and the Da Capo Players in performances of student orchestrations of Debussy's "Arabesque" and "Pas de Neige" by David Israel and Daniel Wohl; and Bartok's "Slow Melody" and "Pentatonic Melody" by Samantha Boshnack and Brendan Whittaker. Concert organizer Joan Tower, composer and chair of the Music Program, will participate both as a conductor and pianist.
