Bard Personal Librarian

Your Personal Librarian: A Note from Bard’s Stevenson Library Staff

The Stevenson Library staff members are looking forward to meeting you and supporting your success at Bard.
The transition from high school to college academics comes with its own unique set of opportunities and challenges. In order to help you meet these head on, each student is matched with a Personal Librarian, who will serve as a guide to library resources and services.
We all love a good Google search, but there’s a lot more to academic research! The Stevenson Library staff is here to help you navigate the world of college-level resources. Your Personal Librarian can help you:
  • Find your way around the library and the library website, whether you’re looking for a book or an online journal article
  • Brainstorm, find materials, and get started on research assignments
  • Connect with the right person for additional support
  • Learn about new library resources, services, and events
Look for an e-mail from your Personal Librarian during your first few weeks on campus. You can always stop in and find a librarian at the Reference Desk any time you need help or have questions. The staff is here to help you!
