The Center for Student Life & Advising (CSLA) at Bard College is committed to supporting students in their academic and extracurricular endeavors. Our offices provide academic and personal advice as well mentorship to students throughout their time at the college. CSLA is comprised of the office of the Dean of Student Affairs, the Dean of Studies, and International Student Services. We are located in Sottery Hall.

Dean of Student Affairs
The Dean of Student Affairs Office (DOSA) seeks to enhance the value of the undergraduate experience by encouraging students to participate actively in the community, be concerned about their peers, and explore personal matters that affect their individual pursuits and the community.Dean of Studies
The Dean of Studies office supports students in their academic programs of study by providing supplemental advising to all students, fostering collaborative inquiry outside of the classroom, and helping students develop the skills and strategies required for robust engagement in the academic life of the college. We facilitate the application process for competitive fellowships and scholarships and help students find and meet academic and intellectual challenges outside the regular curriculum.International Student Services
The International Student office advises students on all matters pertaining to their legal status in the United States and on cultural, social, educational, and personal concerns. The international Student Adviser serves as informal adviser to the International Student Organization.
