Biography:
B.A., Bard College; M.F.A., Yale University. Photographer. Solo exhibitions: Quinto Quarto, MACRO Museum, Rome; Transit Byzantium, Transformer Station, Cleveland; The New Antiquity, Greenberg Van Doren Gallery, New York; many other exhibitions in New York, London, Los Angeles, Brussels, Geneva, Atlanta, Miami. Photographs in the collections of the Guggenheim, Metropolitan, Whitney, Hirshhorn, Walker, and other museums. Author of six books of photographs, most recently Quinto Quarto (Punctum, 2013) and The New Antiquity (Damiani, 2009), and two collections of poetry. Discovery Award finalist, 2004 Arles Photography Festival; Joseph H. Hazen Rome Prize Fellow in residence, American Academy in Rome (2007–08). Contributor to publications including Aperture, Artforum, Art on Paper, Blind Spot, Metropolis. At Bard since 2003.Contact:
