Biography:
BFA, Philadelphia College of Art; MFA, Yale University. Painter. Recipient, National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship (1993–94); American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters Award (1989); Guggenheim Memorial Fund Fellowship Grant (1988–89); Ingram Merrill Foundation Award in Painting (1988). Solo exhibitions at institutions including Phoenix Art Museum, Philadelphia Art Alliance, New York Studio School, and Edward Thorp Gallery, New York City; numerous group exhibitions. Paintings in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cincinnati Art Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, others. Visiting artist, New York Studio School (1991–2004). Has taught in the graduate departments at the School of Visual Arts, Yale University, Parsons. At Bard since 2001.Contact:
