B.M., M.M. (solo piano), University of British Columbia; master of song interpretation, Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, Germany; D.M. (collaborative piano), The Juilliard School. Prizes and awards include best pianist, Robert Schumann International Competition (Vocal), Zwickau, Germany; second prize, International Art Song Competition, Hugo-Wolf-Akademie, Stuttgart; best pianist, Wigmore Hall / Kohn Foundation International Song Competition, London; Début Young Artists Competition, Vancouver; and CBC Spotlight Competition, Vancouver. She has performed at the Bard Music Festival, Stanford Live, Spoleto Festival, Mostly Mozart, and Peggy Rockefeller Concert Series in New York, and at concert series throughout North America, Europe, and Africa. She has been recorded by the CBC and Dutch Radio (Radio 4), and in Germany for SWR and the Bayerischer Rundfunk. She recently broadcast live on WQXR in New York, in concert with Colin Balzer, and on WGBH in Boston with Tyler Duncan. Has taught master classes or been a visiting lecturer at Stanford University; University of Toronto; University of Manitoba; Rider University; and Vancouver International Song Institute, of which she was a founding member. She is also cofounder of Sparks and Wiry Cries (, editor of its Art Song Magazine, and artistic codirector of its live performance series in New York City. At Bard since 2010.
