B.A., George Washington University; M.A., Ph.D., University of Michigan. Areas of specialization include social psychology, psychology of prejudice, statistical methods in psychological research. Professor emeritus, Brooklyn College. Publications include "In Defense of CUNY" (Radical Teacher, 1998; reprinted in Chalk Lines: The Politics of Work in the Managed University (Duke University Press, 1998); "The CUNY Wars" (Social Text, 1997); "The Bell Curve: An Exercise in Social Darwinism" (Science & Society, 1996); many others.
