Bard MBA in Sustainability presents
Sustainable Business Fridays: Domtar's Journey as "The Sustainable Paper Company"
Lewis Fix, VP Sustainable Business & Brand Management
Friday, January 31, 2014
Join the Bard MBA in Sustainability program for our twice-monthly dial-in conversation series over your lunchtime featuring sustainability leaders from the New York City area and across the planet. This week, we're talking with Lewis Fix of Domtar. During his tenure as VP Sustainable Business & Brand Management, Lewis first recognized the need for sustainable practices from a market perspective; customers were demanding more sustainable paper products. To help differentiate Domtar in a commoditized industry, Lewis helped lead several initiatives, including third party certifications of forests and the supply chain, collaborating with ENGOs, marketing, branding and communications, and establishing grassroots initiatives within Domtar to further advance employee engagement. Lewis will take us through Domtar's transformation and describe how sustainability has contributed to Domtar's continuing leadership in the North American Pulp and Paper market.
Sustainable Business Fridays convenes every first and fourth Friday of the month during the semester, with special guests selected by students in the Bard MBA in Sustainability program.
