Karen Corey '13

Program Assistant, Forest Trends

"I chose Bard because of the Master's International Program. I’d known for years that I wanted to do Peace Corps service and the Bard CEP program has given me the opportunity to fulfill that dream, as well as set me on my way toward a new career."

Karen served in Samoa for two years teaching English and working on environmental projects. Prior to leaving, she worked as an intern at Resources for the Future, a Washington, D.C.–based environmental economics think tank. Now Karen works for Forest Trends as a program assistant for the Water Initiative, developing investments for watershed services (IWS) projects in the global south and building a community for IWS practitioners.
